On December 1, 2023, local time in Mexico, Mr. Steven Xie, Chairman of Hongji Group, led his team to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new governor of Coahuila, Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas.

The inauguration ceremony started in a warm atmosphere. Representatives from all walks of life in the state of Coahuila came on stage first, and Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas came on stage with his wife and children to express his greetings and thanks to everyone. Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas then spoke an impassioned inaugural speech. He said that the campaign was over and that he would therefore govern for all because being governor was the greatest honor of his life.
"Coahuila State is our home, the place we dreamt of and the place we work as good northerners. A place we have always aspired to improve. "When Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas said this with such emotion in his inaugural speech, the stage erupted in applause, expressing support and anticipation for Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas' new administration.
From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas served as mayor of Saltillo, the capital of Coahuila, bringing prosperity and development to the city. Now, as the governor of Coahuila, he attaches great importance to the investment of Chinese enterprises in the region, and a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs was specially invited to participate in this inauguration ceremony.
Mr. Steven Xie, Chairman of Hongji Group, led the representatives of Hongji's North America team to attend the invitation. In the previous meeting, Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas expressed his appreciation for Hongji Group's eight years of successful plant operation experience in Tecate, Mexico and warmly welcomed Hongji Group's further investment in Coahuila. He hoped that through Hongji and Chairman Mr. Steven Xie, more Chinese enterprises would come into Mexico, invest and prosper in Mexico, and be as successful as Hongji. The state government will provide all necessary support and help.
As a sign of friendship, Mr. Manolo Jiménez Salinas presented a special handmade Mexican Chinese flag and a local baseball jersey of Coahuila to Chairman Mr. Steven Xie as a souvenir.
Mr. Steven Xie said that through the contact with all circles in Mexico, he felt the welcome and enthusiasm of Mexico to Chinese enterprises, and saw that Mexico is an important link in the process of China's local manufacturing enterprises in the process of globalization, which strengthens his confidence and determination to make long-term investment in Mexico, therefore, he is also very willing to build a bridge for Chinese enterprises to go to Mexico, and welcome more Chinese enterprises to go to Mexico to make field visits, and will work with the local partners with strength to provide the necessary information sharing, support and assistance, such as plant site selection, purchase and lease of plant buildings.
